Iraq, Switzerland Discuss Cooperation at Multilateral Forums
Baghdad / NINA/ – Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral Affairs and Legal Affairs, Shorsh Khalid Saeed, met with Swiss Ambassador to Iraq Peter Nelson at the Ministry’s headquarters to discuss strengthening cooperation and coordination at international forums.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting, held on Thursday, addressed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them. The two sides also discussed Iraq’s and Switzerland’s priorities for the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, as well as strengthening cooperation and coordination within multilateral international forums.
The meeting also covered the latest regional and international developments and their implications for countries in the region and Europe. Both sides emphasized the importance of continued consultations and the exchange of views to further strengthen bilateral cooperation./ End
