Baghdad/NINA/— Head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, emphasized on Thursday the importance of accelerating the implementation of service projects and improving the state of construction and housing.

In a statement, the Coalition’s media office reported that Nouri al-Maliki received the Minister of Construction, Housing, and Public Municipalities, Ribaz Mohammed Abdullah Hamlan, at his office. Al-Maliki congratulated him on gaining the confidence of the House of Representatives, wishing him success in carrying out his new duties and responsibilities.

Al-Maliki underscored the importance of enhancing municipal, construction, and housing services, accelerating the execution of service projects, and addressing the challenges facing the construction and housing sector—all with the aim of meeting citizens' needs and improving the quality of services provided to them.

For his part, the Minister of Construction, Housing, and Public Municipalities expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Al-Maliki, affirming his commitment to exerting the necessary efforts to improve the ministry’s performance and to continue implementing construction and service projects in a manner that aligns with the requirements of the current phase and the aspirations of the citizens. /End
