Vance: Moscow and Kyiv have agreed to return to the negotiating table
Baghdad/NINA/ – U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance announced on Thursday that Russia and Kyiv have agreed to return to the negotiating table, while noting that persistent disagreements over several core issues are hindering the conclusion of a peace agreement between the two countries.
In remarks to reporters in the state of Ohio, Vance stated: "Washington believes that Moscow and Kyiv have reached an understanding to resume talks, as part of efforts aimed at finding a resolution to the ongoing conflict between the two nations."
He added that the failure to reach a peace agreement thus far is due to significant, ongoing disparities in the positions of both sides regarding a number of key issues currently on the negotiating table. / End
