US Military: Iran Has Neither Exported nor Imported any goods via Sea for 100 Days
US Central Command stated that the naval blockade, since its resumption, has prevented Iran from exporting oil worth more than $25 billion.
It added, "Iran has not exported or imported anything by sea for 100 days, with the exception of humanitarian aid permitted by our forces."
This comes amid rising security tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, which has seen incidents involving attacks on oil tankers in recent months. These events have raised renewed concerns regarding the safety of commercial shipping in one of the world's most vital strategic waterways. /End
