Arnold: We Arrived In Jeddah With Great Focus, And Our Goal Is To Compete For The Title
Baghdad/NINA/ – Our national team coach, Graham Arnold, emphasized that the Iraqi team has arrived in Jeddah with a high level of focus, stating, "We have a clear goal: to compete for the title."
Speaking today at the press conference ahead of the match against Oman, Arnold said, "We possess the experience and skills to deliver an outstanding performance in the tournament. We have a large number of players who played in the World Cup with us and have gained greater experience, alongside young players who possess significant quality and a promising future, capable of performing at a high level."
He added, "We have the technical capabilities to compete for the title, not merely to win individual matches."
He explained that Ali Al-Hamadi had been ruled out due to injury, while the rest of the squad is fully fit and ready, both technically and physically.
Regarding the Omani team, he described them as a strong side with the necessary experience in such tournaments, adding, "It is natural for us to study our opponents, but my primary and most important focus is on the Iraqi team."/ End
