Baghdad/NINA/— Head of the Reconstruction and Development Coalition, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, met on Wednesday with the Minister of Culture, Yassin al-Aithawi, and the Minister of Planning, Qutaiba Ghazi. The discussion focused on the implementation of the government program and the strategic plans of both ministries. Al-Sudani emphasized the need to accelerate the finalization of the state budget and to provide support for skilled professionals and artists.

During the meeting—which was attended by several coalition members of parliament and other officials—Al-Sudani called for prioritizing competence within ministerial operations, creating opportunities for skilled government personnel, and strengthening the media outreach of the ministries. He also urged officials to listen to employees at all professional levels and to keep their doors open to them.

He requested that the Ministry of Planning facilitate the swift completion of the budget, while stressing that the Ministry of Culture should focus on supporting artists, the drama sector, and local production by providing the necessary financial and logistical assistance for their work.

For his part, the Minister of Planning described his ministry as the "beating heart" of the Iraqi government, praising the achievements of the previous administration—most notably the completion of the national census. Meanwhile, the Minister of Culture commended past initiatives aimed at supporting artists, highlighting, in particular, the initiative dedicated to Iraqi drama. / End
